Marketing Agreements

We internationally market the lumber products from multiple sawmills we currently represent. By entering into open marketing agreements and protecting the sales routes in specific target markets, it allows Vanport to attain the highest possible sales price for our group sawmills and create a brand name in each market for them. It also allows us to provide the highest quality lumber products that the meet the specific needs and requirements of our export customers.

When Vanport is asked to add a sawmill to our sales group, we go into the sawmill and teach them all they need to know about the target markets including how to cut specialty sizes, grade according to the needs of the customers and package the lumber products appropriately for each market. Most importantly, Vanport works with each of our group sawmills to choose the product lines that will help them make a profit and employ a high quality workforce that will become loyal to our export markets and customers with a long term outlook.
